Major sites are now loving coupons just like we do!

Walgreens trip for 5/1-5/7

I have found my favorite Walgreens! If you live here in the L.A county you might know where Artesia is located.! Its a 24 hour walgreens so they have much more to select from. The cashiers are super nice, they don't give you a hard time AND they adjust your coupons! Unlike the one in Norwalk by the Chucky Cheese! Manager there is super picky about them, he won't let cashiers adjust and he reads the small tiny print to make sure you have the right item and if you do and the coupon still beeps he'll make something up! NEGATIVE! I won't waste my gas going there again! Here's what I grabbed:

1 scotch mailer- $0.39 each with in ad coupon
1 gum eez flosser -$2.00 *$2.00 back in RR*
1 bic razor - $5.99 *$2.00 back in RR*
1 tylenol precise - $8.49
1 gillette fusion proglide razor - $9.89 *$5.00 back in RR*
1 dawn dishsoap - $0.99 with in ad coupon
2 johnson & johnson travel size kits - B1G1 50% $1.99 each making these $2.98 for both
And they had a promotion going on for the J&J. If you bought 2 participating items you would get the free red bag up above with $15.00 worth of coupons inside! Retail value of that bag itself is $4.99.

Total before coupons- $29.83
Total after coupons and some register rewards from last week - $3.48
Plus I recieved $9.00 back in RRs for my next trip.

Ralphs trip 5/7

Like I had mentioned plently of times, I have been trying to get good at grocery shopping. And let me say I think I'm getting the hang of it! Before I go into details, I want to point out that during this trip I had planned out what I was going to buy yesterday. I spent a good 5-6 hours trying to find coupons online and in the inserts and it was a success, but my trip was not! Right now until Tuesday Ralphs has a special promotion going on. If you buy 10 of the participating items you get $5.00 off your transaction. You can see their ad online at  On my list was 8 boxes of pasta, 2 boxes of moms best cereal, 1 pkg of mission tortillas and 1 bag of Bounder chips that was it! Well, my Ralphs didn't have the cereal so it kind of threw me off and they didnt carry the chips. Took an extra 15 mins looking around to see what was cheaper to complete my 10 items, and just a reminder the tortillas was not one of them. Anyways I found the 2 items I decided to grab and it worked out better than I had thought!

(4) boxes of Ronzoni pasta *blue box*-$1.49 ea = $5.96
(4) boxes of Ronzoni Heathly Harvest pasta *brown box* -$1.49 ea = $5.96
(1) Mission tortillas - $1.50
(2) Philly cooking cream - $2.49 = $4.98

Total before coupons- $18.40
Total after coupons- $0.40 cents!

Making each item a close to $0.03 each

for the mission coupon im not sure if its stil available i think last night was the last day to print it out on their facebook page, it was for $0.75 off. Ralphs doubles their coupon to the $1.00 so I grabbed these for $0.50 cents. for the pasta, the pasta in the brown box can be found on the ronzoni site they have the $1.00/2 so I printed out (2) coupons. And for the pasta in the blue box I had also found those in one of the inserts from either 2 weeks ago or 3 weeks ago. I don't have my coupons dated. they were for $0.55 cents off but it was doubled to $1.00 so they were $0.99 cents each. And for the philly cheese I found those in the 3/6/11 smartsource insert for $1.50/1 making them $0.99 each! I also recieved $5.00 off from the promotion so that also brought down my total. This trip proves to me that I can do it. It takes alot of time and planning.!

CVS trip for week 5/1-5/7

I did pre-tty well at cvs this week that I was even surprised at my total! As I walked in I thought to myself, well since its the middle of the week already I assumed that greedy lady out there cleared the shelfs...well I was wrong! Here I grabbed:
*NOTE*- I did use an extrabuck I had been saving for $7.99 which will also help my total go down

(4) Tide Stain Relases-$3.99 each = $15.96 total
(2) Colgate maxifresh toothpast- $2.77 each =5.54 total PLUS $2.77 extra bucks limit 2
(1) Aquafresh Kids toothbrush - $1.00 (I had a raincheck for these when they were on sale for $1.00 about 2-3 weeks ago)

Total before coupons- $22.50
Total after coupons- $0.01
And I got $5.54 back in extrabucks for my next visit!

Yes I said it... $0.01 cent =)

Now you're probably wondering where I grabbed my coupons from well don't forget I did have an extra buck for $7.99. I had grabbed 4 newspapers this past Sunday and in the P&G insert was a coupon for the Tide Stain Release for $3.00 off. For the colgate coupon I had found those in the inserts from 2 weeks ago. and for the aquafresh I had also found it in the redplum from 2 weeks ago. Because remember last Sunday there were no inserts because it was a holiday.!

In conclusion I saved about $22.49 and I only paid $0.01 cent. Making each item close to nothing. I can't wait until next weeks cvs deals!

Where have I been????

So its been a long while since I last updated my blog. Why? Well one of the reasons has been because of work. This past week it was really taking up my time to go out and do my shopping and when I wasnt at work I was too busy clipping those coupons and organizing them all into my binder. I have spent a total of maybe more than 40 hours in a week organizing it. And I'm still not done. At the same time I have also been trying to become a better grocery shopper. As I had mentioned in one of my past posts about how I needed to improve my grocery couponing, I decided to also focus more on that too. Didn't want anyone to think I abandoned my blog, never! ; ) Hope everyone has a good weekend and a Happy Mother's Day!!
