A couple of good finds at Walmart

I spotted 2 good items at walmart today. Thought I would share them with everyone.

I found a $1.00 off tag on every snuggle fabric softner. Right next to that was a softner from the same brand on markdown for $4.34, not a good markdown because that price has been the same for about a month now, no wonder its still there, so I kept walking down the isle and found this next item.
Dawn dish soap on markdown for $1.00. You can find a $0.25 off any dawn in this months P&G insert making this item $0.75 each. I still have my P&G booklet from last year so I saved an extra $0.25 cents making this item $0.50 for me. Not bad.

Didn't find too many good things on markdown however there are many many MANY markdowns right now but they're not all that great.

My Walmart trip 4/27

I had a pretty rough time at Walmart today. With that said, Walmart cashiers are NOT aware of Walmarts new coupon policy what-so-EVER! I had to get a so called "supervisor" to come to the register and look at the coupon policy posted up at the top pole because she hadn't even read it. Still not understanding that I was right about Walmart taking competitor coupons, she insisted and told me sorry, we do not take competitor coupons. Afer pointing out and feeling like I was teaching her what she didn't know she still was not convinced. Come on' are you serious? I spend most of my time online looking at policies. I should work here. I was not frustrated at all because I knew the min I would go to customer service and ask the manager myself I would end up being right. So that's exactly what happend. Manager didn't even look twice at my walgreens coupon and said yup, we take ALL competitor coupons now. Didn't take me longer than a min to reasure myself that I was right. So I went back to the register and explained to the cashier and she took it. Man o man, the things a coupon lady would do just to save herself a few bucks =) I don't mind, I work hard for it anyways. Why not save that for some gas? Here's my trip:

Diamond decided he wanted to be part of the picture so his little legs came out but dont mind that! Here's what I got.
2 Olay body wash bars in 2 pack *$2.48 each*- $4.96
1 travel size tide detergent-$0.97
1 ivory body wash bars in 3 pack-$0.97
1 secret deodorant-$0.97
1 dawn liquid dish soap-$1.00 (this was a markdown item)
1 sidekick 4 pk enusre-$5.88

Total before coupons-$14.75
Total after coupons-$4.40

Most of these coupons are in the P&G insert of this month. They are about to expire on the 30th so I decided that walmart would be a good place to use them. All coupons can be found there except for the sidekick ensure, that coupon was a catalina coupon from walgreens register machines for $3.50 off making the 4 pk $2.38 about $.50 cents each drink.

In conclusion I saved a total of $10.35. Making each item around $0.62 cents each.

$0.00 after coupon Genuine Turquoise Heart Earrings!

From my inbox to your computer screen! I just placed my order on these cute earrings. I've recieved emails from this company, Darcus Tori,  a few times in the past but never really had liked the free items they offered. But these earrings I do like so I placed my order. I am a fan of Turquoise although I don't own any turquoise jewlery. So I am excited to get these. No need to sign up just click HERE and add 1 to your cart. It said limit was 3 but when I tried to request the limit it didnt let me so I got 1. Use coupon code 0704 at the checkout and you should see a $0.00 balance. Now make sure you uncheck the insurance fee once it directs you to the end. If you want insurance go ahead and keep it but just to avoid any fees, I unchecked the box. You could use this time to grab these for mothers day or just use them yourself.!

My Ralphs trip today 4/27/11

So I decided that I try to really get good at coupon shopping with groceries. I can admit that I am not an expert but I am pretty good with household items but for some reason my grocery isn't all that great. So I gave it a try last night planning my trip for today and here is how it went....

1 Pedigree Dog Food 4.4lb- $3.99
2 Tony's pizza *$1.00 each* - $2.00
1 Uncle Ben's instant rice- Free with a coupon i recieved in the mail
1 Viva towels 6pk-$5.99
4 McCormick seasonings- *$1.00 each*- $4.00
3 Crest toothpast-*$1.00 each* -$3.00
3 Oral-B Toothbrush-*$1.00 each*-$3.00

Total before coupons and before my savings card-$54.86
Total after coupons and savings card-$6.44
Total after giftcard *this is the amount paid out of pocket* OOP-$1.44
Total savings-$52.37

I want to point out that I also used a giftcard I had recieved about 2 weeks ago for Ralphs cereal promotion of $5.00 and some coupons I recieved in the mail. I recieved a $5.00 off a bag of Pedigree food and the free pouch of Ben's rice. For the pizza, I went to tony's pizza online and printed out a $1.00/2 pizzas making them both $.50 each. For the viva towels, if you go on and like viva towels you can play their game and win up to $2.00 off. I passed the game up to level 3 so I got the $2.00 off. For the McCormick coupons, in one of the smartsource inserts was a $.75 cents off any spice, Ralphs doubles every coupon up to a $1.00 so I got all spices for free. The crest toothpaste coupon can be found in this months P&G insert. The picture has the crest pro-health toothpaste but if you read it carefully it states any crest toothpaste. Again the $.50 cents doubled up to a $1.00 making this item free. The oral-b coupons can be found in the P&G insert aswell.
In conclusion I did pretty good here for my first grocery trip using coupons. Didnt get much but $1.44 oop was a good deal. Overall each item costing $0.09 cents isnt bad after all.
